Okay. I have a penchant for melodrama. Hell, I IS melodrama. In a box. Sorry this took so long to color. It's a tacky job too. My deepest apologies. From this sketch [link] here
Okay. So what the uniform? Everyone asks that. Well, lets just pretent for a bit that the Fire Nation uniforms are NOT the sexiest thing known to man. Lets focus on the poetic value here (Melodrama, remember?). The cold, unfeeling red armor juxtaposed with the soft, warm blue hues of Katara's flowing dress mirrors the contrast of their personalities. It is the very soul of Zutara, the reason it works. Hence he is in uniform.
I had to draw the new hair though. Its just to SEXY!
